Running history

After completing my 1st half marathon in September 2010, I was proud to run as a Heart Runner for the British Heart Foundation at the Nottingham Robin Hood Marathon on 11 September 2011; achieving a time of 3hrs 39mins 51secs and raising £1271 for this great cause.

In 2012 I completed the Marathon of The North in Suderland, improving my marathon time to 3hrs 25mins 11secs.

After the disappointment of contracting Chicken pox just two weeks before the Manchester Marathon in March 2013, the Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon on 20th October 2013 gave me another chance to hit my 3h15min target. After going through half way on target the wheels came off at around mile 17 miles, as did my hope of reaching my goal!

In April 2014, after a mixed period of training,  a steady Greater Manchester Marathon gave me back my running mojo and helping me get over the disaster of my previous marathon.

2015 will be my biggest running challenge yet, both in terms of weekly mileage and whole-year consistency.
